475　send, send for和send away

1　send 意為“寄，送，派遣”，指送出某物或派出某人。

I sent a letter to him. 我給他寄了一封信。

They sent him to the school. 他們派他去那所學校。

She sent him a card. 她給他寄了一張明信片。

2　send for 意為“派人去叫／請”，其賓語常為doctor, police等。

Send for the doctor, please. 請叫醫生來。

Leave the house now, or I will send for the police. 馬上離開房子，不然我就要叫警察來了。

3　send away 意為“叫……離開，解雇”。

He soon sent the beggar away . 他很快就把那個乞丐打發走了。
